Makes about 2 ½ cups


¼ cup unsalted butter
3 tablespoons flour
1 pouch of Savory Choice Beef Demi Glace
1 cup water
¾ cup sour cream
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves


Melt the butter over medium heat in a medium saucepan or sauté pan. Add the flour and cook, whisking constantly, until the mixture just begins to turn golden and smell a bit nutty, about 3 minutes. Stir in the Savory Choice Beef Demi Glace and water and cook, stirring, until the sauce thickens, about 1 to 2 minutes. Add in the sour cream stirring until incorporated. Remove from the heat.

Serve over leftover meatballs, noodles, roasted meats, or mashed potatoes.
